Wyoming High School Transcripts: Transcripts, Shot Records, and Diplomas

Looking for a copy of your high school transcript? Did you attend a Wyoming High School? If so, perhaps we can help.

Is it in the Archives?

Did you attend high school in Wyoming and graduate or last attend OVER 10 years ago?

If so, your transcript may be in the Wyoming State Archives.

Many high schools and school districts choose to transfer inactive records (over 10 years old) to the Wyoming State Archives (WSA) for storage. Please check first with your school or school district. They will direct you to the WSA if your records have been transferred.

If you graduated or last attended LESS than 10 years ago, your transcript is still maintained by the school or school district.

The WSA does NOT currently maintain records from private schools, homeschooled students, universities or colleges. Please contact the Wyoming Department of Education for assistance.

Immunization Records

In some cases, high schools have transferred immunization records, sometimes called shot records, along with inactive high school transcripts (over 10 years old). Like high school transcripts, immunization records are closed records, meaning they are only available to the student of  record, school and school district of record. To request a copy of your immunization record as on file at the Wyoming State Archives, use the Immunization Request Form

Cost: Free

Prior to the mid-1980s, most schools and school districts did not consider these to be permanent records, but the policies have since changed and by the mid-1990s, most schools in Wyoming kept copies of immunizations in the student files.

Wyoming does not currently maintain a statewide registry of immunizations. In many cases, doctor's office records or high school immunization records are the only shot records available.

High School Diploma Copies

Copies of actual diplomas of graduation are not maintained as a part of your student file. Please contact your high school to arrange for a reprint of your certificate.

If you are needing a copy of your diploma for proof of graduation, ask your employer or school if a copy of your transcript that includes your date of graduation would be allowed.
