The Wyoming Livestock Board publishes the state brand books and maintains records related to the ownership of current brands. They have a complete set of brand books dating from 1919 to the present, and bills of sale books after 1972-1973.

The AHC holds the records of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association. This collection contains scans of many Wyoming Stock Growers Association brand books.

The Wyoming State Archives has state brand book volumes for various years from 1882 to 2009. The Wyoming State Archives has microfilm of most county brand records from county creation to the mid-1960s. Otherwise, the books are kept with the respective county clerk.
